Just Another Day

What's up? How's it going? Sophie Mae here with some words of wisdom from my favorite author Dr. Seuss! (See below.)

"From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere!" I hope the video makes you laugh!

I've been up to no good lately and having tons of new adventures like catback riding and playing dress up!

Here's a picture of me in what Daddy calls my first ghillie suit. I didn't know what that was so I looked it up on Google and found this!
^^ Ghillie Suit ^^

Silly Daddy! Ghillie suits aren't for kids!

Then Mommy said that reminded her of Cousin Itt from The Addams Family, but I didn't know what that was either, so I looked it up on Google too! -->

I still don't really get it. There sure are some funny things in the world!

^ Challenge Accepted. ^

Mommy finally signed up for her classes at A&M CC, they are about 4 times as expensive than her classes at ACC! She's already started getting her books for when school starts, and that's not even until August 22nd! I think Mommy's just excited to be going back to school. She is taking Public Speaking, Spanish (again), Macroeconomics, and Developmental Psychology (through the lifespan)!

Mommy and Daddy both started workout routines too. Mommy says they are leading by example. She's trying to lose 16 lbs and Daddy's trying to lose 30. Wish them luck!

So, back to me, Mommy says lately I've been a little stinker! I keep crawling out of the living room, so Mommy put up a pillow barricade to block my way, I accepted the challenge and acted accordingly. I shall overcome any obstacle! And now Mommy says she needs another baby gate, heehee.

Just one more thing! I wanted to show off one of the new shirt my Great Grandma bought me! It's a Noah's ark shirt from the Bahamas! I love it sooooo much! She also got me a Minnie Mouse onesie, but I don't quite fit in that yet. Thanks Grandma!!

Well, I guess that's all for now! See you soon!

Sincerely,

8 Months!

Hello there! As you've probably guessed from the title, this post is all about me turning 8 months. That's right, I'm a lean mean 8 month old dream!

First I've just got to say, today I'm in a better mood than I've been all week! Mommy thinks it's because my new tooth has popped through my gums a little bit and it's giving me some relief from teething. I'm just happy I've now got 3 teeth, count 'em 3!

Now what did we do for my eight month old birthday you ask? I got to eat turkey! I love love love turkey so much! It's my new favorite food. I also got to try apple juice for the first time and it was great too. And speaking of favorites, I've also got a new favorite thing ever! Standing tippee toe!

Now here's some news from Mommy and Daddy's side. Mommy's friend Sarah is getting married and asked her to be a bridesmaid! Yay! That's the 2nd wedding she'll be a bridesmaid in so she's really excited.

And Daddy's been working hard studying so he'll be ready to take his A+ certification test by August 25th. That's right folks, he's set a date! Once he's done with that he just has to come up with the money to take the network test too (not sure what it's called) and he'll be ready to get a job networking! Mommy thinks if Daddy puts his mind to it he could be in a new job by my birthday! Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I guess that's all for now! See you soon!

Sincerely,

Christi and Eddie Came to Visit

Hey!!! Sophie here again, how was your 4th of July? Mine was FABULOUS!! I got to see my godparents Christi and Eddie, we got to play games, have a poolside BBQ, go to the beach and the movies, and race go karts!! It was so fun!!! Wow, I sure am supercharged today!

I've had tons of firsts lately, I've stood on my own, walked with help, and tasted a slushie! Being the only baby in the house has been the most exciting thing ever! I am the center of attention at all times, I get tons of playtime so I'm never bored and, just between you and me, I can get away with anything! Haha!

Once Eddie and Christi got here on the fourth they were pretty tired so the fun really started on the 5th. I didn't get to see any fireworks because Mommy and Daddy decided I would probably be too scared of the loud noises since even quiet noises scare me sometimes.

On the 5th everybody went down to the pool to BBQ and swim. Daddy and Eddie ran the grill while Mommy, Christi, and I swam to our hearts content. The water was great and I was kicking like a rock star in the pool! I swam so well that Mommy said I was sure to be a little fishy and love water when I grow up. I think I'd rather be a mermaid than a fishy though!

Here's a pic of Christi and I, chillin' at the side of the pool!

On the 6th we all went to the beach! The first time I went to the beach I was scared of the waves, well this time was a little bit better, I was still super scared and I cried when Daddy tried to take me out. But I loved the sand! I kept trying to dig my feet and hands in on the beach away from the water.

Daddy and Mommy traded off with Eddie and Christi watching me under the umbrella while they went out and played in the waves. Eddie and Christi went out so far they saw a wall of fish and were surrounded by a school of fishies swimming by! Eeee!

Here's a pic of Eddie and I relaxing in the shade together! And another pic of me before I got sleepy and fell asleep on the towels.

After the beach Christi and Mommy traded off with Eddie and Daddy to go to the movies! Christi and Mommy went to see Brave and said it wasn't what they thought, but it was still awesome!! And Eddie and Daddy saw the movie Ted and said it was SO funny! Mommy says I can watch Brave when I'm a little older, but it will be a very very long time before I can see Ted. Oh well, I'm just excited to be able to watch TV in a few months when I turn one!

Then yesterday we all went to a place called Funtrackers! There were go karts, bumper boats, video games, bumper cars, and a mini golf course. I was too little to go on any rides, but I still had fun and got to taste my first ever taste of a blue slushie! Thanks Christi!

So that was my very fun weekend! Today I'm just crawling around the living room, listening to Mozart and wearing my 4th of July Hello Kitty shirt that Mommy got me. I may or may not also be chasing the kitties around while shrieking and trying to grab their tails. Teehee!

So that's all for this blog post. As my favorite stuffy Tigger would say, TTFN! Ta Ta For Now!

Sincerely,
              Sophie

Preparing for the 4th

   Well hello there...

Guess you caught me while I was eating! I know I only just updated you yesterday, but I just had to come on and write a new post!

Today we were preparing for the 4th of July! We put flags around the house and Mommy told me all about fireworks. They're these big beautiful explosions of light in the sky! There's supposed to be a stunning display of them over the water where we live. I'm so excited, I hope I get to see some on Wednesday!

So after Mommy told me about fireworks she told me about how even though we call it the Fourth of July, it's actually Independence Day and we are celebrating our freedom and independence as a country. Then she talked a bunch about politics and I stopped listening. Then we took pictures!!

I loved playing with that flag, it was tasty!

I'm so excited for the 4th! That day's extra special because my one of my godmother's is coming to visit! I say one because she is the godmother my Mommy and Daddy picked, then because I'm catholic, I needed to have a godmother who I can ask about the faith when I get older, that one's my Grandma! Anyways godmother #1 is Christi! I'm so excited because she and her fiance Eddie are coming to visit for 4 days!!! I'm sososososo excited!

Well, Mommy says we need to get to cleaning my room now before I go to bed so I've gotta go. See you soon!

Sincerely,
              Sophie
