Playing Catch Up (Part 2)

   Hey there again!

I'm back for part 2 of my catching up blog posts! Are you ready? Me too!

So after Fathers Day we had to get ready for Daddy's birthday! Mommy decided instead of asking him what he wanted this year she would just order a bunch of fun and random gifts from ThinkGeek. That's the ultimate geeky website!

So Mommy found a few amazing gifts we could give Daddy and I helped wrap them. I LOVED the bows! Mommy said I wasn't supposed to eat them, but they just looked so yummy! So Mommy finished the wrapping herself. Aren't birthday's exciting?

That morning Daddy opened his presents! He got a wifi detecting t-shirt, a star trek robe, and a root beer making kit! Then I got to play with the bow again!! (Under close supervision that is)

After that we had a dinner and a big red velvet cake!

And after his birthday Daddy updated his resume and decided to start putting in resumes to IT jobs! I hope he gets a job he'll love!

Then Mommy met a new friend who told her about a young adults ministry called The Net. Daddy, Mommy, and I all went and it was so much fun! I got to go to the daycare and play with other kids while Daddy and Mommy participated. We'll definitely go back again!

Mommy's also almost got her school stuff figured out for the semester! She'll be taking a Spanish class, a math class, and two psychology classes. She'll be able to officially sign up once her old school sends her COMPASS test results to her new school. And once her bacterial meningitis paperwork goes through everything will be all set!

And last but not least, here's a video from my 7 month photo shoot that Mommy took while I was having a play break!

Thanks for reading! I'll be sure and blog again real soon!

Sincerely,
              Sophie

    Oh hey, Sophie here!

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile, I've been super cranky from teething and it's been really distracting. My top two teeth are coming in! So in honor of that I thought I would play catch-up with 2, count 'em 2 blog posts!! This first one's in honor of Fathers Day and the second, well, you'll just have to keep reading now won't you?

Daddy's day was sososososososo FUN! First we let Daddy sleep in a little before made him breakfast in bed. I helped mommy make peanut butter and banana french toast with orange juice. Daddy said it tasted SO good! After that we went to church and I learned how to sing! Well, Mommy says it sounded more like happy screeching, but everyone right around was looking at me and it made me feel like a star!

After we got home Mommy said we needed to get some new family pictures, but the sun was in my eyes so we only got one good picture with me in it. I guess it's fitting that it was of me and Daddy!

After we got home we got ready to go swimming! I LOVE swimming! So I changed into my good ole swimsuit and took my trusty ladybug to the pool. It was lots of fun, even if it started raining suddenly and we all had to make a mad dash for home!

Then Mommy and Daddy dropped me off with my Great Aunt Kim so they could go to dinner and a movie together. I had tons of fun with my favorite 2nd cousin Judy! I got to play and crawl around and eat peas while Mommy and Daddy ate at on the border and rented the movie Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. They said it was a good movie, but so incredibly sad.

Now here are some pictures from the pool!

This one's of Daddy, helping me swim around in my ladybug floaty.

This one's of me before I got in, chillin' by the side of the pool.

And this one's of Mommy and me right before I went in the water.

So Fathers Day was a success! I am so excited to do it again next year, but whew, does it wipe me out! Thanks for reading, I'll post part 2 either later today or tomorrow! See you later!

Sincerely,
              Sophie

7 Months!

   Hi there!

Sophie Mae here and I'm 7 months old today! Mommy was so excited this morning we did our 7 month photo shoot. And I look simply FABULOUS! Today was my very first day fitting in my jeans so I convinced Mommy to let me wear them for the shoot. I was so energized I didn't sit still for very many pictures so Mommy just had to catch them on the fly ;)

So as I was saying, we took tons of pictures and I couldn't choose just one to post, so here's a few of them for your viewing pleasure!

Then we stopped the photo shoot because Mommy said I was being a grumpy grump monster. Mommy says hopefully she'll get some really really good one's another day, but I still think these are FAB! I mean, what pictures of me aren't adorable??

So here's some catch up on the last few days. Mommy and I have been sneaky mcsneakersons getting Daddy presents for Fathers day AND his birthday! I can't believe Daddy's going to be 24 years old on the 20th! He's SO old! Yesterday I helped make peach cobbler with Mommy, she even let me have a taste of it. I thought it tasted yucky but Mommy and Daddy loved it. Mommy says I'm probably the only child in the world who snubs sugar, but I said what-ever! I love plain peaches <3

And did I mention I've been sleeping 8 hours straight for the last 3 nights?? I'm trying to let Daddy and Mommy get some sleep! They totally deserve it. Mommy says she hopes it lasts!

So today, after I finish this blog post, Mommy and I are spending the whole day together! She's going to play with me, we're going to learn new songs, and work on my walking! I'm so super duper excited that every sentence is ending in an exclamation point! Woohoo!

Well, it's nap time here so that's all for now! See you soon!

Sincerely,
              Sophie

Back Home

............................Oh hi!

I didn't see you there! As you can see I'm back from my wonderful trip! I had so much fun seeing family and meeting people, but Mommy didn't remember to take many pictures so that's a bummer. After a total of around 9 hours in the car I decided to take a day of rest, but now I'm back and ready to blog!!

So much has happened since we last talked! First of all we went to my second cousins graduation party. It was so fun meeting so many new people, but I got cranky partway through and had to go back to the house. My Auntie Julie took some pictures of the ceremony so I could see.

I think my second cousins the one in the middle walking towards the camera with the blue thing around his shoulders! He's going to a great college soon and the whole family's so proud!

After we got home from our trip Daddy found an A+ certification class that's not too far away, so he might be getting some certifications soon! Yay Daddy! And Mommy is getting her act together and signing up for her next round of classes. It's going to be an exciting summer!

Then I found my new favorite thing EVER!!!! Mommy and Daddy had a lot of fun showing it to me, here's a video to show you what I mean!

And did I mention I spent my very first night in the crib last night? I loved it! Now I'm officially in my very own room, hip hip hooray!

Well, I guess that's all for now, see you again soon!

Sincerely,
              Sophie

Introductions!

   Hi there!
My name is Sophie, I am 6 months old and this is my very first blog post. I am excited to get to know you, and even more excited that you are reading my blog today!

Now lets get down to business! This blog is all about being a kid. My family and I just moved to the beach from a big time college town, so we've got some serious work to do! Mommy spent her first few weeks here unpacking box after box after box! And Daddy started his new job as an assistant manager a couple months ago. So since they're so busy I have plenty of time on my hands to get into trouble and blog about it! Heehee :D

So I know we've got TONS to talk about, but for today, I just wanted to get the introductions done.

Okay, now first I'll introduce Mommy.

Mommy's a full time online student in college and stay-at-home Mommy to me! She used to work customer service, but she really wanted to work with kids (like me!) so she went back to school. Here's a picture of us right before we went to the beach for memorial day!

I was looking awesome in my brand new monkey swimsuit and hat from Carter's. I loved the beach, going around with the wind in my hair and the Laughing Gulls flying overhead. The ocean kind of scared me, I was afraid the waves would open up and eat me whole! But Daddy told me he would be sure to hold on tight and then I had tons of fun!

Oh yeah, introductions... BACK ON TRACK!!! :D

Here's a picture of me and Daddy on the same day. He wasn't quite ready to go, but I was already rockin' my suit! You can see the monkey WAY better in this one, isn't it the best? Oh wait, where was I? Oh yeah, Daddy is my favorite person in the whole wide world! He's working as a full time assistant manager right now, but he really wants to get into IT work. He tells me that means he wants to work with computers, but I'm not allowed to play on them yet so whatever. He always makes time for me, the light of his life! <3

Phew! Almost done with introductions! These are wearing me out, I can't believe it's almost nap time! I need to get some more playing in before nap. So much on the schedule, I need to slobber on Eeyore, eat some puffs, throw some blocks, and chew on my rattle. So much to do and so little time, a baby's life sure can be stressful! Back to business!

And now to introduce the last two members of our family! Here are my furry little friends, Socks (left) and Kitty (right). They both let me play with them, but since I've been crawling Kitty's been a little scared of me. I can't imagine why! ;)

I love my cats, even though they're a little old they are so fun to play with! I like chewing on Socks' ears and gently touching Kitty's fur. Sometimes I grab their tails and they run away, that makes me sad so I try not to do it anymore, but they're SO tempting!

Now you've met my family, all five of us! Tomorrow I can't blog because we're going to my second cousins high school graduation. I'll be sure and take pictures to show you later! So I guess that's all for now. Time for nap, see you next time!

Sincerely,
              Sophie
