Dreams and Other Things

Dear everyone,

It's great to see you! I'm sorry I haven't written in a really long time. Things have been busy here and I've been growing up faster than I can type! Today I'm going to talk about dreams, and some other things that have been on my toddler mind lately.

You see it all started a few weeks ago when I started seeing things in my sleep, I tried to tell Mommy about them, but it took her FOREVER to understand what I was trying to describe. She seemed to think that me waving my hands around wildly and yelling my things at her was just me playing.
But it turns out that I was…….. DREAMING. I dreamt about being able to drive the car while Daddy and Mommy were in the backseat, I dreamt about cleaning the house and told Mommy that it was "super really fun". I even dreamt that I lost my shoes and wanted them back really badly, I wanted them so bad that I woke up and told Mommy and Daddy that I wanted my shoes when I was already wearing them, heehee. It was so silly. I love to dream and I love to tell everyone about it even more!

Even though I love to dream I get really grumpy in the mornings until I've had my breakfast. Here's a video Mommy took of me when I was waking up a few mornings ago with my morning banana. Warning: It is a little loud in the middle since Mommy was messing with the camera while filming.

Christmas was great! We went to Fredericksburg the weekend before and got to see my grandma (my Mommy's mom), my aunt Angie, and my uncle Ross who I almost never get to see! Even though it was a couple weeks ago I am still talking about them and I call them on my play phone a lot, especially Ross since he's two too! We also got to visit my great grandparents and my great aunt's. It was a lot of fun! And I was a little angel so Santa brought me lots of fun stuff for Christmas like a new train set with a Thomas train that runs by itself.

I even got a new bubble machine since they were on sale. Here's a short video of all my bubbles!

Also, I found out I'm allergic to peanuts as well as raspberries and zinc oxide (long story). I get terrible painful and itchy rashes, but no other bad things. The list is growing, but everybody says I will probably grow out of my allergies. I sure hope so!

I can say a ton of words now and my word books are getting so easy! Mommy and Daddy set up a bookshelf for me to reach on my own now since I've stopped tearing up my books like I used to. It's in the middle of my brand new toy organizer! Here's a pic! --->

   Isn't it the best?

The cats aren't running away from me as much anymore since I stopped chasing them and pulling on their tails. Who knew that being nice to them was the solution? I've decided that cats are silly now and they are just around for me to lay my head on and laugh at.

My favorite things to do now are to paint, to dance, to sing, and to look at Christmas lights and pictures of dogs. I like to read lots of books and play doctor with my new doll too. My favorite toys are my cars and my balls and my baby doll. I also like to run around the house yelling and giggling, but there's no real reason for that, I just like to confuse Daddy and Mommy. Oh, and I almost forgot, my favorite movie of all time is Annie. Mommy says it's the older one and not the remake. I love it so much I ask to watch it every morning when I wake up and keep asking until it's time to go to bed. Mommy says I'm not allowed to watch it anymore until the weekend's over and that is taking FOREVER. I just don't understand why I can't watch Annie every waking second, but oh well, I guess I can wait.

Well, that's all I can think of for an update. I miss you!!! "I love you, bye-bye!!"

Sincerely,
              Sophie

August-November Quick Review

Hi there! There's been so much going on I hadn't been able to post anything for awhile, so I'm going to go ahead and fill you in on everything that's been happening! First of all my godparents came for a visit that was really fun. Then my Pepa and Yaya came by. Then Mommy started school. And THEN we bought a HOUSE!! :D

So let's start with Christi and Eddie coming by. We had a FABULOUS time!! I got to play with them at home, and I got to spend time with Christi at the water park! After that I got to spend a night sleeping over with my Great Aunt Kim and cousin Judy while everybody went on a road trip to Schlitterbahn. I hate road trips, so I was extra happy I got to have a sleepover instead! Then we all went to the water park here, Hurricane Alley!

When Pepa and Yaya came we had tons of fun together hanging out at home! I miss them SO MUCH! I even got to see my uncle Ian! We went to the downtown Whataburger, we got to see the ocean, and we played a ton!

After that we bought our house!!! I LOVE MY ROOM!!!

After that we visited with my grandma and aunt and uncle! We went to Mcdonald's and got to play in their toddler play area! My aunt Angie is a few years older than me and my uncle Ross is 4 months younger.

So there it is, all the tons of stuff we did from August to September, whew! By now!

Sincerely,
              Sophie

Potato Head and a Trip to the Museum

    Cheese!

    I'm ready for my closeup!
Sophie Mae here and I'm here to let you guys know what's been going on in the great House of Copeland. So, come on in and see!

First I want to introduce my partner in crime... Mr. Potato Head!!! He's my favorite toy right now and even though he doesn't always look right in his potato, he's my buddy through and through!

I'm learning tons of new words, I can sing almost half of my ABC's, sometimes count to four, and I even use my manners when I say please and thank you! Daddy and Mommy are very proud of me, especially when I surprise them by singing something like "S.O.PEEEEEE! I.EEEEEEEE!" when I'm playing. They never think I'm listening, HA!

Today we went to the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History (Wow, what a mouthful!). It was great there! Want to see some pictures? Okay!

This was as I was getting buckled into my car seat on the way to the museum. Mommy was so proud that I kept my little bow in my hair!

Peekaboo! The next few are of the best house in the kids play area!

And after we lounged around for awhile we went and explored the rest of the museum. It was so cool! Full of pretty rocks and model ships and lots of buttons to press! There were even turtles there!

So that was our day at the museum! Next up I'll post pictures from the water park. Daddy just bought a new camera with his birthday money. It's a great outdoor camera that's even waterproof so we can take it with us and even take it underwater. Wow!

We even went into a wind tunnel while we were there. Daddy says it simulated hurricane winds.

--WARNING: THIS VIDEO IS REALLY LOUD, TURN YOUR SPEAKERS DOWN TO WATCH IT. Thank you.--

Anyways, I've got to go to bed now and Mr. Potato Head does too, so night night everybody! See you again soon!

Sincerely,
              Sophie

Busy! Busy! Busy!

Hi there! Gosh we've been busy lately, but now I'm here to write an extra long blog post just for you! Woohoo!

Let's see... Since I last wrote I recovered from my surgery, we had a mama's day dinner, we redecorated my room, Mommy finished classes,  I had my very first overnight, we started packing and did some work on the car, and Mommy and I painted together! Wow, that's a lot!

Recovery from the surgery took a few days, but I felt much better afterwards. I was without ear infections for almost an entire month before I got one again. I have one right now and SO sad to say my tonsils are swollen. I hope I don't have to have them out yet, but like Mommy says, it's all up to the doctor!

Mama's day went really well, we went to church and then had a family dinner. I got to play with my cousin Judy and that was SOOOO fun! Mommy and Daddy say I was being naughty the whole day, but I just call that FUN!!

Speaking of Mommy, she finished her Spring classes with 2 B's! We are spending lots of time together before she has to start Summer classes on June 3rd. And then guess that's happening on June 21st?? Can't guess??? We're MOVING!!!! I'm so excited to live in an apartment where I have my very own room! We already bought a lot of my new furniture and after we move I am getting my cousins old toddler bed.

Here's a picture of my room since I got the new furniture! Mommy took away my changing table and bookshelf since I was trying to climb on them, but I got all this new stuff that I love! If you can't tell the theme, it's princess. Once we move and I have my new bed I'll really be grown up, then Mommy says I might even start potty training. I don't really know what that is, but I'll try anything once!

So Daddy and Mommy have never taken their honeymoon. They were going to have it for their 1st anniversary, but then I came along and it never ended up happening. Well, a little while ago they decided to just have a mini honeymoon and go for a night in San Antonio to have fun, eat in fancy restaurants and stuff. They said I was finally old enough to go for an overnight with my favorite babysitter, Aunt Kim! It was so fun staying over there that I didn't even miss Mommy and Daddy! It went so well that they are going to finally take their honeymoon sometime this Summer!

And then there was THE BUSIEST DAY EVER. That was the day we started packing the kitchen, Daddy and I changed the break pads on the car, and Mommy and I painted a big piece of wood. It might not sound like a lot, but it was!

I had lots of fun helping Daddy, we both got really greasy! Then I started helping Mommy with her project. She was making me a height chart to mark my height on as I get older. Some day I'll have brothers and sisters to write heights on too!

It's really pretty in person! And for the final touch I put my very first hand print on there! As I grow older I'm going to put handprints up it until I reach the top all grown up!

Well, that's all for now! I'll post something new soon. So in the great words of my friend Tigger "TTFN, ta ta for now!"

Sincerely,
              Sophie
